Wondering what your first art therapy session will be like?

01

The first few sessions will focus on what brought you to therapy. We will explore various aspects of your life, identify your strengths, get comfortable with the art materials, and develop a game plan for the rest of our time together.

02

During sessions, I will guide you through art-making as we work through the concerns of your choice. If you are not in the mood to talk in detail, that's okay too. Art can be your voice. At times, difficult feelings may come up. I will be there to help you make sense of them.

Art therapy does not require you to be good at art and may include drawing, painting, collage, mind-mapping, visual journaling, sewing, photography, creative writing, or working with wood, clay, textiles, or natural/found objects.

Don't have art materials? No worries!

If you see me in-office, materials are provided. If you are seeing me online, we'll get creative! Art can be made with just about anything. We will make use of the materials and supplies you have access to. I also provide a list of recommended art materials you can purchase along with a convenient Amazon shopping list.
