Making art is a vital part of my life. From a young age, art has been my voice and my way of exploring dreams, processing difficult emotions, and examining the world. You can view my recent works here.
As the founder of Artspiration, LLC, my mission is to provide my clients with art experiences that help them tap into their most authentic selves. I believe all human beings are intrinsically creative and need to express this creativity to live a balanced and fulfilling life. Artistic expression provides an opportunity for introspection which can lead to a deeper understanding of one's self and the world.
I am a Registered and Board Certified Art Therapist with the Art Therapy Credentials Board, and I received a Master's of Art degree in Art Therapy from The George Washington University. I am an active member of the American Art Therapy Association and Website Chair for the Florida Art Therapy Association. I have presented on the topics of self-care and emotional wellness through art-making at the various symposiums.
Over the past 10 years, I have worked in various settings including schools, shelters, psychiatric facilities, court programs, community outreach programs, and in private practice. I have provided care for clients with diverse backgrounds of all ages.
My diverse work and life experiences have taught me the benefits of artistic creativity as an integral part our lives and our world. I have witnessed and experienced first-hand how authentic transparency through self-revelation and self-expression can lead to personal growth, emotional wellness, and resilience.
